Epithalon, sometimes spelled Epitalon, is a synthetic version of the polypeptide Epithalamin. Studies have shown that Epithalon may possess the potential to increase the production of telomerase, an enzyme in the cells that plays a central role in cell fate and aging.

A study in mice suggests that premature aging can be reversed by reactivating telomerase. Mice that were engineered to lack the enzyme had become prematurely decrepit.

However, when telomerase was replaced, it bounced back to health.
